Photovoltaic Trackers withstand the force of Hurricane Michael
Hurricane Michael, the third most intense Atlantic hurricane to make landfall, reached US land as a Category 4 hurricane on October 10, 2018. It weakened upon making landfall, but continued to move across south Georgia as a Category 2 hurricane. Solar Sun World completed the installation of 17 dual-axis tracking systems at the Lee County Wastewater Treatment Plant on September 21, 2018. According to the Albany Herald, Hurricane Michael caused wind gusts of up to 100 mph in that area tearing down trees, ripping facades off of buildings and downing power lines. However, all 17 tracking units withstood the force of the hurricane without any damage.
As shown in the picture, trees were down all around the trackers, but no damage was done to them.

Animal Protection for fix-mounted solar systems
Battery backup system
This battery backup system is large enough to supply electricity to the most needed household appliances including a 3 ton AC unit. The special solar battery bank has 48V and 802Ah. It is connected to an 11.5KW photovoltaic system. The solar panels are charging the batteries, so this owner can live without power for many weeks as long as the sun is shining at least every second to third day.

Renewable Backup Power System
A Clean, Green, Backup Power SolutionThe PowerHub is a combination of an inverter/charger module capable of delivering up to 1800 watts of household power. It is the first backup power solution to operate with solar and wind inputs. Power from a generator or the utility grid can also be used with the PowerHub system to recharge its batteries. The PowerHub provides an affordable, high-output, primary power solution for an off-grid cottage or cabin, as well as backup power for grid-connected homes when the power goes out. It is scalable up to 400 amp-hours of energy, allowing customers to build their system based on their power requirements.
- Never worry about running out of power- renewable power sources, solar and wind, sustain the PowerHub's battery charge indefinitely
- An excellent alternative to a generator- designed for indoor use, with not fuel, fumes or noise
- Add it to a grid-tie solar energy system for backup power
In addition to the new products mentioned above, Solar Sun World sells and installs products from the following manufacturers:
